Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the egg, then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix — a few lumps are fine.
  4. Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray.
  5. For each pancake, pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove the pancakes from the skillet and keep warm. Repeat with the remaining batter.
  7. Serve your pancakes with your favorite toppings like syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream!

Tips:
